In a game filled with weakness striking peril such as P3P, the importance of a good accessory cannot be underestimated. This particular equipment slot can, if used correctly, completely change the effectiveness of any potential party member, and they should absolutely be used to do so. It’s not all about defensive tendencies however, because these unsuspected bits of gear can buff your damage, restore HP or SP, reduce overall costs and even save your life from time to time. Such things should not be underestimated throughout P3P, particularly on higher difficulty levels, so you’d do well to pick up one or more of the following for each of your party members en route.
Protagonist
- Rudra Ring
- Chakra Ring
- Wizard’s Mark
- Sacrificial Idol
Technically speaking we are starting our list with by far the most powerful party member, which is the protagonist. However to understand our choices you must also understand that he or she is also by far the most malleable of members. You can, should you wish, dedicate them to physical damage, magical damage, healing, buffs, debuffs or even ailments if you want. Cutting to the chase then, the accessory choices for your main character will very much come down to your own choice for their focus.
We’ve often found that the protagonist in any modern Persona title is the main striker of weaknesses, often going first in battle and setting off a chain of events, which invariably leads them towards some kind of ‘SP saving’ accessory. Of those recommended, we’ll most often return to the Wizard’s Mark or Chakra Ring for this very reason. The former will restore a nice chunk of SP every round, which takes the pressure away from longer jaunts up Tartarus, and the latter will halve all SP costs, making it ideal for throwing out continuous, powerful spells in longer boss battles. Your mileage may vary of course, and we wouldn’t blame you for sticking with a death defying Sacrificial Idol on higher difficulty levels, but overall you’re likely to settle into some kind of SP hungry position like we.

Junpei
- Power Enhancer
- Rudra Ring
- Space Badge
- Storm Ring
Happily, Junpei is rather more one dimensional, which makes his accessory choices a little easier. Sure, he does have access to Fire spells, but his Physical skills are much more effective, to the point where you’ll want to lean this way as much as possible with his equipment. Storm Ring will patch up his weakness to Wind and Rudra Ring will halve his HP costs, however for the majority of the game it’s much more effective to use an accessory that restores HP each round or our personal favourite, use the Power Enhancer to ensure he starts every battle with Tarukaja. This means that his first three rounds will have increased attack power, and whilst it does take him a while to unlock physical skills that attack every enemy, it’ll be worth it to watch vast swathes of enemies get removed in a single skill.
Yukari
- Chakra Ring
- Wizard’s Mark
- Draupnir
- Vayu Bracers
- Lightning Gloves
Were there to be a single character that is perhaps as SP hungry as the protagonist, it would be Yukari. The job of restoring health to the entire team will often fall to her, and whilst her skillset is certainly up to the task, her SP total will often suffer as a result of it. That being the case, once again opting for the SP cost halving Chakra Ring or the SP restoring Wizard’s Mark will serve her well, however there are two additional choices that really deserve a separate note…
Unlike other characters dedicated to damage, Yukari will not gain access to the ‘Amp’ passive for her chosen element, which in her case is Wind. Thankfully it’s possible to patch up this gap with the Vayu Bracers, which grant said Wind Amp, however you may also want to opt for patching up the weakness of Yukari herself via Lightning Gloves, after all a downed healer isn’t going to restore much health is it? Finally, Divine Grace is available via Draupnir, which doubles healing effectiveness, however Yukari does eventually gain access to a full HP party heal, so at best it’ll allow you to achieve the same via Mediarama instead, again acting like a form of SP cost reduction!
Akihiko
- Wizard’s Mark
- Frozen Stone
- Enduring Soul
Despite what seems like a nice early power spike, Akihiko will soon slot himself firmly into a ‘support’ role for your party in P3P. His skills are rather bafflingly bereft of any physical presence and whilst the Elec skills are useful, the main point of bringing him along will invariably be the debuffs that he can provide. That being the case, you’ll essentially want to keep him alive and remove his weakness, which the Enduring Soul or Frozen Stone can provide respectively. Should you be grinding, or indeed traversing a larger block in Tartarus, then giving him some SP restoration via the Wizard’s Mark might be a good idea, though we’d argue that the job of weakness-striker will almost always fall to the protagonist before him.

Mitsuru
- Chakra Ring
- Blazing Flame
- Wizard’s Mark
The combination of powerful Ice skills, a high magic stat and some useful single target heals mean that Mitsuru is always likely to be an SP hungry party member, and your accessory choices should often reflect this. She’ll likely be called upon to empty her SP regularly, even more so in boss battles, so getting it back via a Wizard’s Mark, or halving all of the costs via the Chakra Ring, does make a certain amount of sense. As ever, you may want to consider cancelling her weakness via the Blazing Flame in the late game, where one struck weakness can spell the end of your entire team. Does being so powerful, yet getting struck down by one weakness sound familiar, Edelgard fans? If not, then at least Mitsuru’s voice actress might.
Aigis
- Power Enhancer
- Rudra Ring
- Wizard’s Mark
- Space Badge
- Lightning Gloves
By now you’ll be getting used to the accessory situation for most party members; take care of their main resource, be it SP or HP, and ensure that you keep an option around that patches up their weakness. Whilst the same is broadly true with Aigis, her particular mix of skills mean that you’re likely to use both resource types at differing times; HP in regular battles and SP in boss fight, thanks to her excellent supportive buffs. The latter aren’t too expensive if we’re honest, and you’re unlikely to see it become a problem, but having a few spare accessories around just in case might be worth your while. Generally speaking we tend to find that she wants to save HP as much as possible and patch up that huge weakness of hers.
Koromaru
- Wizard’s Mark
- Chakra Ring
- Radiant Halo
Whilst he does tend to land a good deal of critical strikes, and indeed is very quick in battle, Koromaru will essentially end up being a spell caster more than anything else. His Dark spells are useful, however you’ll see the most use in spamming powerful Fire attacks, which are made especially useful by his eventual unlocking of the Fire Amp passive. As you might imagine then, he can be rather SP dependent, which makes restoration via the Wizard’s Mark very useful on long Tartarus journeys. Generally speaking, and given the lack of Fire weak bosses in the late game, you’re probably best simply patching up his weakness via Radiant Halo. If you’re intent on having him on your team, which we honestly wouldn’t recommend, then giving the opposition boss another turn is probably the worst situation to be in, especially on higher difficulty levels.

Ken
- Chakra Ring
- Wizard’s Mark
- Draupnir
- Ring of Darkness
Much like Koromaru above, Ken will likely fall into a very similar and SP hungry mode. Unlike Koro however, Ken has access to healing skills, which means that Draupnir is a very good accessory choice, because it doubles the effect of health restoration skills. Once Diarahan and Mediarahan are unlocked, which are by definition full HP heals, you’ll want to switch this out for something more worthwhile. Again, falling back on SP restoring gear is a great idea generally speaking, but be sure to keep a Ring of Darkness on hand to patch up his weakness when required. Bosses like the Reaper will very quickly take advantage of such a thing, so at the very least you should keep it hanging around your inventory.
