Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is a JRPG game for the Nintendo Switch developed by Atlus. It features a unique band of characters, all aiming for success in the weird and wonderful work of J-Pop. On their rise to stardom they stumble upon the ability to summon Mirages taking the form of lost Fire Emblem cast members – hence the #FE – and work together with them to defeat all manner of possessed enemies. What is the Sixth Element in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore?
The Sixth Element is a rare enemy, or ‘Mirage’ in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. In various portions of the game, there are a few rare Mirages that can be found. These feature in almost every dungeon, or Idolasphere, in the game, and the player can run into them at almost any point if they’re lucky.
Enemies come in a few different varieties in TMS#FE:
- Red Mirages
- Black Mirages
- Gold Mirages
Red Mirages are the normal enemies in TMS#FE, which will pursue the player and can be struck with Itsuki’s sword to knock them down, increasing the chance of a turn advantage. Black Mirages are Savage Encounters, which feature enemies of a higher level and generally require a lot more skills, levels and planning to defeat.
The Sixth Element is a Gold Mirage. Upon spawning, these types will attempt to run away from the player. Happily they can be struck and knocked down much like the Red version. They’re also influenced by the various enemy influencing skills, which can help to slow them down if required.
Finding a Sixth Element in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore
The Sixth Element can be found regularly in the Illusory 106 idolasphere. The following steps can be taken to ensure that you find and battle this rare enemy:
Sixth Element Guide
- Head over to the Illusory 106.
- Teleport to floor 6F.
- Use the orange switch to manipulate the doll arms, choosing the middle option.
- Climb up through the doll arm to reach floor 7F.
- The small section, pictured above, is the location where the Sixth Element can regularly be found.
- Multiple spawns of the rare encounter can be found here, however if the rare versions ‘dry up’, you can teleport out of the dungeon and begin again, which will reset the spawn.

Why is the Sixth Element important in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore?
Throughout Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, Mirage parts – loot, if you will – is required to craft new ‘Carnages’. These are used as weapons by each character, effectively becoming a new ‘form’ for the Mirage owned by each cast member, serving to act as a damage source, and a way to learn new spells.
The Sixth Element drops an item called ‘Macca Converter’. This is used to craft some of the rare Carnages in the game. Regardless of the point in story, TMS#FE will often require that you return and grab a few of these, especially if you want some of the rare weapons for new cast members!
